The Harmony School of Music, Koramangala Bangalore put together a beautiful evening of Western Classical Music. Held in the auditorium of the Alliance Francaise de Bangalore, the audience were treated to a series of western classical pieces starting from the Baroque, Bach and Opera right down to Broadway. A beautifully trained children’s choir sang Mozart’s “Ave Verum Corpus”, Vivaldi’s “Laudamus Te” and a special arrangement by Sandra Oberoi, “Glory” in perfect harmony. I had my camera with me and decided to take some pictures, a few of which are shared here.
I mostly used the 55-200mm lens as I think it’s important as a photographer to be sensitive to performance etiquette and not obstruct the view of the audience or keep moving around during a performance. Since the light was pretty low and I was not carrying my tripod, the ISO was mostly between 800 – 1600 depending on the light. The Nikon D7000 produced little noise even at the high ISO levels as you can see.. No NR has been done on these images. Had some white balance correction to be done, but for the most part, these are how it was shot.
